Life is constantly turning and what dies is reborn… I’m sitting out in the garden. It’s autumn and the sun is as warm as it was in the summer. The seasons are fucked thanks to climate change influenced by man’s over population of our globe. What we were used to now is unpredictable more than ever. How are we meant to rid ourselves of stresses and start afresh if there is no continuity in nature?
“'As above, so below' is a principle which states, in essence, that Malkuth, the densest development of the universe, is equally holy as the source. Fundamentalists, finding the physical world evil, per se, are misguided extremists.”—Robert Wang in Qabalistic Tarot (via wayofthehermit)
“The archetype of the witch is long overdue for celebration. Daughters, mothers, queens, virgins, wives, et al. derive meaning from their relation to another person. Witches, on the other hand, have power on their own terms. They have agency. They create. They praise. They commune with nature/ Spirit/God/dess/Choose-your-own-semantics, freely, and free of any mediator. But most importantly: they make things happen. The best definition of magic I’ve been able to come up with is “symbolic action with intent" — “action" being the operative word. Witches are midwives to metamorphosis. They are magical women, and they, quite literally, change the world.”—The Year of the Witch | Pamela J. Grossman (via phantasmaphile)
